3/11/12: Chillin!

So today was another relaxed day! I went to church and I felt a little ticked off afterwards because a man that sometimes gets on my nerves, got on my nerves again! Its not that I dont like him, its that he doesn't know how to talk to me sometimes in a respectful way! Also after that my friend came in crying about Sis. Carrie (church member who passed away), so I talked to her and tried to comfort her because somehow we both lose the people that are the closest to us! After that I went to Applebees, then to a benifit dance/ comedy/ Dinner event.

3/14/12: A relxaing day!

Today I was forced to get out of the house even though I'm still not feeeling good at all! I have so many things that I have to catch up on in school though. I am suprised at the fact that today was so relaxing exspecially for it to be a day in school! I am really excited to see that some of my friends were concerned about how I was doing, and my whereabouts. It's back to bussiness for me!

3/13/12: College is sooo close!

So today I went and found out some college information. I didn't realize how hard the placement tests for college were! The math is okay but I had a few problems with the geometry parts of the test! I placed proficient but that is not good enough for me, I believe I can do better on the math part! Atleast they allow people to go back and take it over again!

3/12/12: He's Able!

So I'm sick today and I feel so sad beacuse the woman that went to my church and passed away and her funeral is today! I'm glad that i had the chance to see her two weeks before she passed away. I am also excited at the fact that even though I couldn't make her funeral I got the opportunity to write a speech to the family about her and my father said my specch (he ended up crying say my mother, but he denied  crying of course!). But through all I had to remember He's Able!

Today is an very important day for me and my family it is the day we are going to see my older brother get sworn into the Army. It is an okay day for me I remember being surprised when he first said he wanted to enter the Army. This is because to him his long dreads were important to him, I never imagined in all my life that he would volunteer to get his hair cut off! Everyone was surprised at my reaction of him going off, for example my mother kept asking how did I feel about him going away to the Army. I kept telling everyone I was okay, but they don't believe me at all. I believe myself I hardly cry about things or events such as this! I do hope that he does well wherever he may decide to go and whatever he may decide to do!

You have to meditate on the word for god to hear your prayers, and requests. Those people who do not pray will loose hope! You can always find comfort in the godly! 1 john 1:5, Habakkuk 1:13. Sometimes people concentrate on personal problems to much!

Same: same gifts, different functions. Pastor: the same as bishop and elder, and is translated (Sheppard= Poimen (Greek) Acts. 28). (Overseers = episkopos (Greek) Acts. 20:28) (Elder= presbuteros (Greek) Presbyterian 1 Peter 5:1-2) take care of the flock. (Elder: maturity= Psalms 23 Sheppard evading flock. 1 Peter 5:2) The pastor’s responsibility is to feed the flock, equip the people, and build up the church by teaching the word. (Ephesians 24:12) logos: the written word, phema: the spoken word. Christians are starting to get out of their calling. Being a pastor is a god given gift John 10:11, 1 Peters 5:4. What the world needs is pastors who can teach, lead, and guide Romans 12:7, 1 Corinthians 12:28-29, and Ephesians 4:11. This is something that i never really thought about or took the the time to consider!

blog#54: SAT!

On Saturday morning getting up at five thirty in the morning is not what i usually do, I usually rest in but today was the SAT. I was happy to take it again because I realized I wasn't the only AVID senior or New Town High School twelfth grader that was there once again to take the SAT for the third time. As many others i did ok but I knew I had more potential and could do better so this time I was focused and determined to do better! I believe and trust in myself and my fellow New Town classmates that we did well.

blog#53: Friday again!

So on Friday I was not happy that i had to be dragged down to the church again for their meeting but I was happy I got to help my mother out with the music for the children dance. It is going nice so far from what I see, the kids were full of excitement and energy! I was also happy but worried to her my aunt is engaged now and wants to get married next year!

blog#52: Stevenson University

I had a wonderful time today at both the Stevenson campus tours! The view was amazing, I also loved the dorm rooms they are amazing! I would just stop with this school but there is more work to be done!

blog#51: pissed!

Right now i am about pissed that my younger sister stole my lip gloss, hid it, and tried to lie about it! This type of things blows me like crazy the fact that she continuously steals my stuff and get away with it! Somebody pray for her before i hurt her! Please!

blog#50: AVID conversation

The conversation that was held yesterday in avid was very exciting, and intense. I love the fact that we as a class had an open discussion about how the book " A Hope In The Unseen" was applicable to our lives, how we felt about it. Also I liked how we discussed how some degrees we want to pursue may not be available for a job opportunity in today's economy. To me it is important to get a degree in a career i know is needed, and that i can become successful in.

I had fun today in rehearsal watching the children do their mime dance, and do their choir rehearsal! I also had a lot of fun hearing Christmas songs early, and hearing Kirk Franklin.

Blog#45: Report Cards!

I am very excited that i got honor roll, I was shocked by the grades I received but then again not really! I feel as though I worked hard for every single grade that I received, even the C in Human Geography AP. I have a lot of work that is to be done though! I cant the second quarter slip away i need to bring my C, and B in my two classes. I believe in myself that I can achieve my goals! :)

I was really encouraged by the bible study lesson that was taught tonight, It was something that I thought would not only help me out but help out my classmates.

Tittle: Consider or look at your current crisis as a faith builder for the future.
Scripture text: Exodus 14:30-31

Points:

1. Faith is believing that what the lord said will be accomplished.
2. Faith is being fully persuaded that god has the power to do what he says he would.
3. Believing that things will happen just like he said they would.

Notes: 

He sends storms or struggles in our life to build up our faith. Frog (fully relying on God). Luke 1:45, Romans 4:20-21, and Acts27:23-25. Abraham walked in faith! Biblical faith- believing that things would happen the way God said it would. Faith is making reasonable assumptions about God cares, love, and controls over our life. A faith that cant be tested cant be trusted! Mathews 8:10, Mathews 15:28, Mathews 8:26, Mathews 9:2. "Why are you fearful?" Ask, Seek, Knock. Are you stranded at the red sea? Stop looking at your circumstance and look at the God of your circumstances. If you trust him he will respond to your faith.

blog#43: Great news still!

I know i already had a blog focusing in my college goals that i met, and all of the great news i got! On Saturday i was accepted into three different colleges University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Coppin State University, and Clark Atlanta University. I also sent off my application for the University of Baltimore, and was offered $7,000 dollars a year at Tocoa Falls College. I cant wait to hear more great news while going to through this application process.
