Sometimes people concentrate on personal problems to much!

Title: The gift of pastors, teachers, (speaking gifts) Apostle/ Evangelism  

Same: same gifts, different functions. Pastor: the same as bishop and elder, and is translated (Sheppard= Poimen (Greek) Acts. 28). (Overseers = episkopos (Greek) Acts. 20:28) (Elder= presbuteros (Greek) Presbyterian 1 Peter 5:1-2) take care of the flock. (Elder: maturity= Psalms 23 Sheppard evading flock. 1 Peter 5:2) The pastor’s responsibility is to feed the flock, equip the people, and build up the church by teaching the word. (Ephesians 24:12) logos: the written word, phema: the spoken word. Christians are starting to get out of their calling. Being a pastor is a god given gift John 10:11, 1 Peters 5:4. What the world needs is pastors who can teach, lead, and guide Romans 12:7, 1 Corinthians 12:28-29, and Ephesians 4:11. This is something that i never really thought about or took the the time to consider!

blog#54: SAT!

On Saturday morning getting up at five thirty in the morning is not what i usually do, I usually rest in but today was the SAT. I was happy to take it again because I realized I wasn't the only AVID senior or New Town High School twelfth grader that was there once again to take the SAT for the third time. As many others i did ok but I knew I had more potential and could do better so this time I was focused and determined to do better! I believe and trust in myself and my fellow New Town classmates that we did well.

blog#53: Friday again!

So on Friday I was not happy that i had to be dragged down to the church again for their meeting but I was happy I got to help my mother out with the music for the children dance. It is going nice so far from what I see, the kids were full of excitement and energy! I was also happy but worried to her my aunt is engaged now and wants to get married next year! 

 I love this song!

blog#52: Stevenson University

I had a wonderful time today at both the Stevenson campus tours! The view was amazing, I also loved the dorm rooms they are amazing! I would just stop with this school but there is more work to be done!

blog#51: pissed!

Right now i am about pissed that my younger sister stole my lip gloss, hid it, and tried to lie about it! This type of things blows me like crazy the fact that she continuously steals my stuff and get away with it! Somebody pray for her before i hurt her! Please!

blog#50: AVID conversation

The conversation that was held yesterday in avid was very exciting, and intense. I love the fact that we as a class had an open discussion about how the book " A Hope In The Unseen" was applicable to our lives, how we felt about it. Also I liked how we discussed how some degrees we want to pursue may not be available for a job opportunity in today's economy. To me it is important to get a degree in a career i know is needed, and that i can become successful in.

It seems as though forever since the last time i blogged i need to do everything i have to do on time and in a orderly fashion. Its time for me to start making my goals and sticking to them!

Blog#46: Rehearsal

I had fun today in rehearsal watching the children do their mime dance, and do their choir rehearsal! I also had a lot of fun hearing Christmas songs early, and hearing Kirk Franklin.

Blog#45: Report Cards!

I am very excited that i got honor roll, I was shocked by the grades I received but then again not really! I feel as though I worked hard for every single grade that I received, even the C in Human Geography AP. I have a lot of work that is to be done though! I cant the second quarter slip away i need to bring my C, and B in my two classes. I believe in myself that I can achieve my goals! :)

blog#44: Faith!

I was really encouraged by the bible study lesson that was taught tonight, It was something that I thought would not only help me out but help out my classmates.

Tittle: Consider or look at your current crisis as a faith builder for the future.
Scripture text: Exodus 14:30-31

Points:

1. Faith is believing that what the lord said will be accomplished.
2. Faith is being fully persuaded that god has the power to do what he says he would.
3. Believing that things will happen just like he said they would.

Notes: 

He sends storms or struggles in our life to build up our faith. Frog (fully relying on God). Luke 1:45, Romans 4:20-21, and Acts27:23-25. Abraham walked in faith! Biblical faith- believing that things would happen the way God said it would. Faith is making reasonable assumptions about God cares, love, and controls over our life. A faith that cant be tested cant be trusted! Mathews 8:10, Mathews 15:28, Mathews 8:26, Mathews 9:2. "Why are you fearful?" Ask, Seek, Knock. Are you stranded at the red sea? Stop looking at your circumstance and look at the God of your circumstances. If you trust him he will respond to your faith.

blog#43: Great news still!

I know i already had a blog focusing in my college goals that i met, and all of the great news i got! On Saturday i was accepted into three different colleges University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Coppin State University, and Clark Atlanta University. I also sent off my application for the University of Baltimore, and was offered $7,000 dollars a year at Tocoa Falls College. I cant wait to hear more great news while going to through this application process.

blog#42: A great day full of exciting events!

So today for me was a really great day! Although i got up at five thirty in the morning i felt as though me waking up early on a Saturday was totally worth it! I was excited to see that my AVID family, and a few others that used to be a part of our family or class took the trip seriously.

It goes to show that even though we all have rigorous courses this past week and have had many things to do we all were mostly up to the challenge and met our goals! I was very surprised at the three colleges i was accepted into it was a very happy moment for me to know that i could if i choose to go to any one of the three colleges that i applied to and come out with scholarships. This process only makes me want to raise up my G.P.A, Q.P.A., and SAT scores even higher to reap the great benefits of been accepted.

 I was really shocked when he said i was accepted! I was shouting inside! :)

I wasn't too shocked i was accepted into Coppin!

Blog#41: Great things coming!

I feel great things coming and I am excited for the things I know i have to do later on this week! For instance i have a opportunity to go to a SGA meeting at CCBC in Catonsville for a meeting to discuss important issues involving school. Also i have the Black College Expo coming up really soon, whichI cant wait to go to!

blog#40: TGIM (What is TGIM?)

1. See your job (AVID/school) differently and as a blessing. It is not something that is chosen, it is a gift to others that want to be where you are.
2. Shh. Throw away your Toys-R-Us kids cards.Give 120%, Stop whining and complaining over everything, and be a blessing stop always looking for a blessing.
3. Stop expecting change, be the change you want to see.

Blog # 39: Feels good again!

It feels good again for me to start blogging I realized that it helps me relieve stress! Many thing have been happening some bad but mostly good! I have a few blogs that i have to catch up on and a few things to talk about for each. Although my blogging is not up to speed i plan on bringing it up to speed and keeping it up to speed. I have some exciting and amazing days ahead of me!

blog#38:Halloween yay but nay!

Its Halloween today, everyone is excited about today. But for me its just another day that was put on the calendar! While others put on outfits to go hang out with their friends and go trick-or-treating, I get to stay at home and be bored out of my life with no candy, cupcakes. cookies, or nothing to do or eat. I find myself surrounded in a world that is unknown to me whenever this day comes!

I learned siting at home one day on Halloween a couple of years ago that Halloween celebrates the dead, and the demon and demonic spirits. I have come to try to find other things to do on Halloween such as last year I went to this event at the FCF church that passed out candy, had a show that had a clown performing, and that had moon bounces for people of all ages to get onto. This year however i find myself not doing anything, but I'll make up for it! hopefully!

 

blog#37:church moving day!

I woke up today and everyone was happy that my church was moving to another location. Which, to me, and others means no more freezing during the fall,and winter. When i got to church everyone was happy, acting like they had won $1,000 each! I felt that this was a good and new start, for the church to move up since the struggle its been having for the past few years.

I felt as though i was the only one that wasn't really super excited about the move, although i am happy the church is moving because my hands were freezing on Sunday! I was also happy that my brother came to church for the first time in like three weeks, and that my other older brother was there! I  was also happy to see my fake nephew and sister, and I was also happy to hear that he won second place in a Halloween competition!

blog#36: Concert day!

It is finally my concert day, I am pumped about this! It seemed like forever until the concert! But the concert went great as to be suspected it was my last day with some of my new friends and acquaintances. I loved the way we sounded when we were in the concert. I also liked the way the Towson University Choral sounded great! I also liked their women, and men choir, and the songs they sung and their performance throughout the songs. Lastly the songs that were sung by the three master class students were even better than they were before at the rehearsal!

blog#35: unbelievable!

Its unbelievable to me that my best friend is now mad at me over something dumb! He's mad that I told him the truth, if he didn't want the truth from me he never should have asked me the truth. I tried to apologize to him and talk to him but every time i tried he ignored my call or text. I tried to do what i learned in church but that seemed not to work, and I learned that a person doesn't want to accept your apology, or talk to you don't force them because you tried to make up with that person,and be nice. I don't want to seem desperate so as for right now I'm going to leave it alone!  :)

 

 

 

blog#34: Movies!

Went to the movies to see Paranormal Activity 3. It started off kind of suspenseful since this was the only one i was watching i never saw the first or second movie, and those explained the third movie. I felt as though i was behind a lot when my friends had to bring me up to date on what happened in the first two movies to cause something to happen in the third movie.

So far from what I know in the first two movies the sisters are living their lives and are grown. They forgot how their parents passed away they thought they passed away in a fire in their home, at least that is what their grandmother told them. The third movie goes in depth how their parents passed away, they find out that they helped their grandmother set up to kill their parents, that they were demon influenced, and they go over what happened and they start to remember every thing that happened.

The movie is interesting, scary, and funny for some people, and to me! But I'm not going to tell everything that happened now what will be the fun in that?

 

blog#33: Singing, singing, and more singing!

Today i had a 5 hour chorus practice/ rehearsal session. I was a very long and drawn out day I'm tired from all of the music i had to learn today! I am happy to be home though as well! I was excited to see two familiar people today from New Town that had the pleasure of joining me in the great experience of going to the Towson University Festival chorus. I also made a new friends today and met new people.

The soloist that I heard today for the master class were awesome. I was very surprised that only three people made the class and that they were all girls or sopranos! But my day is not over yet i plan on getting my nails done, and going to the movies!
